We'll get back to you as soon as possible!
Karen sold my last two homes and I have happily recommended her to family and friends- with stellar results! She is
an ace in negotiations, is an expert in the process of buying or selling a home, and is a joy to work with. She is also
the person you want to have in your corner while navigating the often stressful & confusing process of buying or
selling a home. With her can-do attitude, and extensive local connections, she gets things done. For example, she
got an electrician out to our house late the night before our closing when a faulty light in our basement promised to
undo our plans to sell our house the next morning. Call Karen... problem solved. With her diplomatic approach,
outgoing personality and expertise, I cannot recommend her highly enough and am planning on using her services
next time I purchase real estate!
I can not say enough about Karen Adelson except, if you are looking to buy or sell a home, USE HER!!!!
My husband and I sold our home in Metrowest very quickly and needed to find a new home before the rapidly
approaching birth or our first child. I can not say enough about how amazing, professional, understanding and
knowledgeable Karen Adelson was through this entire process. She was available anytime day or night to answer
our questions or show us properties and was our greatest advocate. She could not have done a better job
negotiating on our behalf and got us a great deal.
We ended up purchasing a lovely home that abuts to a commercial property and Karen even took it upon herself to to
educate us on the town by-laws and where to find information about specific zoning/variance for a privacy fence
above 6 feet. She is a wealth of information and her endless professional contacts (painters, carpenters, electricians,
plumbers etc...) makes her one of Lexington's hidden gems!
Karen knows Lexington inside and out. She works very hard and was always available and on the lookout for us. She
ultimately helped us to buy a great home after many months of looking. She is exceptionally experienced and
knowledgeable; and she managed a purchase that was fraught with challenges exceptionally smoothly. Karen is a
real pro, and you'll have a friend for life in her.
Karen's great. Honest, points out flaws and issues but also provide a no-nonsense opinion on the good points of
properties. I found her trustworthy, responsive far-- as in years-- past the sale, and generally a good person, which in
my book counts for a lot. I'd work with her again, either to buy or to sell a property.
As a young home buyer, I was very VERY nervous in my search to find the right home, at the right price. I was
referred to Karen by a client who highly recommended her. My experience with Karen was nothing short of truly
outstanding! I learned the importance of home ownership at a very young age and have worked very hard to be able
to attain the American dream of home ownership. Karen was professional, respectful, friendly and made the entire
process just so so smooth. I felt like she truly cared about me and helped me make the right decision. She knew
exactly what I was looking for and she stopped at nothing to ensure my happiness. She feels like family now. I am so
appreciative to have had such a great experience making the biggest purchase of my life and I would HIGHLY
recommend Karen to anyone looking to purchase a home!
I recommend Karen wholeheartedly. Not only is she an exceptionally warm, vibrant and outgoing person but she’s also
a savvy realtor who knows the business, knows how to get the best deal for her clients and knows how to get things
done.
Karen has listed two of my previous properties and also served as my realtor while helping me to secure each of
these homes in multiple offer situations.
The home Karen listed for me last year (59 WindsorAvenue, Watertown) went under agreement with a full priced
offer in one day while others in my neighborhood languished for months. Most finally sold for well below asking
price.
I firmly believe that the success I had with my property was due to the groundwork laid by Karen as she prepared
my home for sale and to her aggressive marketing approach. My house was priced perfectly thanks to Karen’s
knowledge of the area. It looked amazing thanks to a home "stager” that Karen brought in to improve the layout
and decor. Home repairs that had been nagging at me were quickly fixed before listing thanks to phone calls made
to Karen’s connections in the construction, electrical and plumbing trades.
A very large crowd of people braved a cold and rainy Sunday afternoon to attend my first open house. They were
attracted mainly by a web page Karen created for my property with photos that made my house shine. They were
directed to that website by brochures she created, calls she made to other realtors alerting them to the new listing,
and by the web address that was listed prominently on the "for sale” sign in front of the house.
One of Karen’s greatest attributes is that she excels at diplomacy. At every stage, she ironed out wrinkles and moved
the sale forward, always to my benefit. She made sure that the buyer’s home inspection went off as planned even
when their realtor decided not to show up. She opened a line of communication between the buyers and herself
that proved invaluable during the P&S and was always the coolest head in any negotiation.
I’d owned property before meeting Karen and had worked with other realtors. But after working with Karen I
would never consider calling anyone else. She’s a valuable asset to have when either buying or selling. In my
opinion, she’s simply the best there is.
We would strongly recommend Karen and had a great overall experience. We have sold a few other homes and have generally
been disappointed with the other realtors we worked with. She was recommended to us by a local builder friend of our’s that
worked with her for years and always had a good experience.
In the fall of 2010, overall a weak real estate market, she used direct mail, newspaper, internet and open houses to get our
home under agreement in 10 days after it was listed above the asking price and for more than we had bought the home in late
2005 (obviously a much stronger market).
She was honest, not pushy, provided sound advice but listened to our needs and was an absolute pleasure to work with. I would
work with her again without hesitation.
I am more than happy to share my working experience with Karen Adelson.
My wife and I moved to Lexington around 5 years ago from Asia and have already worked with Karen on both sides
(as a buyers and sellers agent). I run a family real estate business that spans through Singapore, India, Thailand and
Boston and my work keeps me away from Lexington/USA very often. She is the only agent through my 5 years of
living in Massachusetts I can trust and rely on as I travel.
An example of a recent representation is a property she listed for for me for sale at 456 Concord Ave in Lexington,
where Karen helped broker the sale while I was away on a business trip in Asia. She accommodated the crazy time
differences and in my absence was present at every sellers open house and viewing, home inspection, negotiation,
etc. As a respected veteran in the Real Estate brokerage industry, Karen has tremendous contacts (who have great
respect and affection for her) in the contracting, home inspection, financing, appraisal, engineering area of whom I
have personally met and hired.
Karen's key strength is her knowledge of the location she works in. She understands where the market is trending
at anytime with respect to pricing on the buyer and seller side (which is key in negotiating the right price as a seller
and/or buyers agent). She is also an agent that puts honesty and trust (which is very rare in the real estate brokerage
industry) above everything else and I always tell her that is the main reason she has survived and excelled for over
20 years as a real estate broker.
As for Karen’s weakness, she goes above and beyond for every client (which is wonderful), however, due to that I
have seen some of her clients take advantage of her unconditional service and support.
In summary, I have never hesitated to work with Karen and she is the first and only person I hire to represent me
for my real estate brokerage needs and advice in the area. The fact that she has been my only representative (buyer
and sellers agent) over the years in Lexington is a testament to how much I trust her judgement and advice, and
above all respect her as an individual.
Thanks for taking care of my kids, I know you did a first class job for them. They say you were and are
the best! That’s why you were the one and only real estate agent we considered!”
Karen I can’t thank you enough. What could have been a long and painful process is the sale of my family’s
condo, was mad quick and painless by your efforts. All bases were covered by you, and all issues were handled and
eliminated by you before I knew they existed. You exemplify the "GOLD LEVEL” of customer service in real estate
brokerage.
